December '16

IT'S THE LAST DAY OF 2016!!!

How had this year gone by so quickly??? Like really, I remember my convo was just a few months ago?

Sigh anyway December has been good! ^^

1. CLP re-sit results.

I passed the CLP examination. I thank God in my heart everyday for this miracle. Now I need to land myself a job.

I've been doing mostly nothing but watching dramas online and slacking and rotting around. It's too jolly a month for me to start my engine and look for a chambering position. T_T

2. 11/11 Taobao parcel!

My Taobao stuffs were finally here! They were purchases made on 11/11 through Ezbuy so I get to enjoy the first kg of shipping free plus free agent fee and 30% off economy air shipping! Took them long enough to finally send me an SMS informing me to go pick it up.

The hair bun thingy was only RM0.25 each can you believe it hahahaha. Card holder was only RM3++ each! Ladle pair was only RM3.20 wtf. Plushies were RM27 for 3 including delivery, a stall in Gurney is selling them each at RM20 wtf hahaha.

Awwww look at them!!!

3. Christmas came early!

Received a Christmas pressie from Ivy! :D :D The whole thing smells so super heavenly - the paper bag, the plastic holder, the little booklet. Mummy started aiming at them. =_____=

4. BABY BLUE ICE CREAM!!!

Finally tried Rabbit's Softserve for the first time!!! BABY BLUE softserve to be more specific. *hearts in eyes* They were having promotion cos it's their first anniversary so B1F1 hahahaha. RM12 for 2 so why not! Purposely drove down to town with Fei just to get the ice cream. Hahaha.

5. Christmas is coming!

Yippie got my Christmas pressie from Fei too! :D :D So pretty the wrapper. It would've been better if it was in white or black with gold accents with minimalistic designs..

Bow N Arrow! So so so pretty.. :*

6. Short fam trip down to KL!

Everytime I go down to KL I only visit city center cos I can't find the need to go other places other than the city. Hahaha. Pavilion and KLCC were super super merry and crowded! That's why I love Christmas! So happy and jolly.

Oh yes we went down to Mid Valley though cos mummy hasn't been there before. And then went through the connecting bridge over to Gardens. And I didn't forget to go visit FamilyMart!!!! Nearly forgotten about the matcha ice cream though, luckily I saw the menu board and remembered hahaha.

And guess what!! NEW OPENING PROMOTION ONLY RM1.45 EACH OMG. So cheap + so good! Even if it's not on promo it's still only RM2.90 wtf. Legend of Tea now sells it at RM4 for half of FamilyMart's size! Hmph.

Also visited the Aquaria! Not super impressive but still nice to spend time in there with family! But they really need to improve their air cond system though. It was fucking warm inside unlike SG's SEA World.

And that's my December! Super boring hahaha but happy nonetheless. And tonight off we go to Straits Quay just like any other year for the NY count down and fireworks! Also I don't think I'll be making any NYR anymore.. I never keep to them anyway. Hahahahaha.

Happy New Year everyone (whoever's reading this) and may the new year brings us lots of joy and harmony!

My 2016

2016 is coming to its end can you believe it? Sigh how time flies.

I remember our Langkawi trip was just a few months ago...

Anyway my 2016 went quite ok, totally unexpected lol.

1. Started my 2016 with a dinner by the beach for my birthday.

Of course it was freaking hot, El Nino was attacking earlier this year, but we got to watch the sunset!! :D And it's a nice place with lots of greens and blues!!

2. My degree's atas (expensive) convocation at KLCC's.

My everyone came! :D

3. Went on road trips with Fei.

We went to Genting twice, KL twice, Ipoh many times. :D

I think we spent a lot of time together out of Penang this year! :D Is this considered a milestone? :B

4. Baked mummy cake for Mother's Day and her birthday!

This was the failed cake sigh but it didn't taste that bad la. Mother's Day was in May so I had more time to waste and make the deco lol. Mummy's birthday cake tasted much better but it didn't look as good hahaha the deco was very simple cos it was July and I had not much time to waste hahaha.

5. Promise ring!

6. CLP exams.

Stressed. Very very much stressed, always crying to myself thinking how much of mummy's money was burnt. Never been this stressed in my 24 years of life.

In my 24 years of life, I've never studied this hard. (Altho it would seem that my effort pales in comparison with other people who really really worked hard.)

7. Singapore trip with mummy and bro!

Our first time to SG together! I managed to bring mummy and bro to tour around SG using their MRT without losing our way. :D

Also visited USS and had fun!

And smart-ass-ly took this Cyclone on. *slaps forehead*

8. Por Por's birthday.

My first time (and never have I thought it'd be the last time) baking a cake for Por Por.

9. First out-of-country trip with Fei!

We went to Bangkok! Spent 5 days 4 nights there together. :D

We had the best time together and also experienced the worst together. =____= I will never ever forget the flood experience... T_____T

10. Por Por's passing.

I have pictures but I don't think I wanna put it up here.

She'll forever be in my heart.

11. CLP results...

I ACTUALLY GOT CONDITIONAL PASS??!?!

... I didn't expect that. At all. I thought I flunked it.

Thank you God, thank you Por Por, thank you mummy, thank you Fei, Wen, Ivy, Yi Min, thank you for always believing in me and having the faith in me.

I wouldn't make it without all these blessings and faith.

12. Re-sit paper...

However, getting a conditional pass means I flunked 1 paper. Flunking 1 paper means I had to re-sit for that paper in less than 14 days after the results were out.

I went down to KL alone, stayed in the hotel alone and survived. Of course Fei and mummy were worried like cray (I'm 24 already ok?) but I made it home safe and sound!

But I was super super tired. zzz...

13. Re-sit results...

I was so stressed for the re-sit results again. =_____= Cos I didn't want to go for another round of re-sit. And waste mummy's money again.

I couldn't sleep for 2 weeks wtf kept waking up in the middle of the night for a few times. Felt like shit most of the time...

BUT I MADE IT AGAIN!!!!!!! T_________T With God's and Por Por's blessings.. Thank you.

And so that's how my 2016 is going to end.

I passed CLP. Like what Yeema said, it's the best Christmas gift. I totally didn't expect this, but it happened.

And with Por Por's passing, I realised that people can be super super horrible when it comes to money, even if they're family. And this also confirmed my sixth sense was never wrong. I'd never not believe my sixth sense.

I hope everyone had a good year. 2017 is coming! I'm turning 25 soon! ... a quarter of a century. =_=

Kioda's XIMISO Lipstick Lover - Virgin Kiss Tension Lip Review!

HELLO DECEMBER! :D It's that time of the year again! Joyous, happy December where Christmas carols are being blasted on speakers and radio stations! :D

Haven't been feeling motivated to blog, but I'm back today to write about this XIMISO brand lipstick that I got from Kioda at RM10... I regretted getting it 5 minutes after payment and started Googling about it in the car when Fei was driving. I couldn't find any review at all. :| And obviously I started feeling bad lol cos it says it's from Korea but it's made in China??? I didn't get it. I still don't get it.

So 7 months after I bought it (ya we went to the Butterworth Kioda in May when it first opened lol) I finally decided to try and use it. And I decided to write about it since there's no real review available.

The product has a long name lolol. Lipstick Lover Virgin Kiss Tension Lip Dangerous? Not sure if Dangerous is the name of the color. I only know it's color #01 lol. No idea if the color has a name or not.

And here's how it looks like. Plastic container - light in weight, not flimsy, considered quite good for a RM10 'Korean' lipstick.

And in case you're wondering what are the ingredients, click to enlarge:

Made in China?

Ximiso is a Korean company I think.

And I suppose it's a Korean brand with all the Korean words printed on the box like that?

You'd understand I was feeling quite troubled then. No reviews came up, no results came up on Google...

And here's how the lipstick looks like. It looks just like any other normal lipstick, but maybe cheaper cos of the plastic and its color lolol. I quite liked the color when I first swatched it on my hand when we were in the shop, that's why I bought it.

And then I tried putting it on my lips a few days ago. =____= BIG MISTAKE.

The color turned out neon, it was drying, it didn't glide on smoothly, I just didn't like it!! T_____T It's not that I didn't know not to expect a lot but I didn't expect it to be that patchy la omg. Totally wasted RM10. :(

Top swatch = 1 layer; bottom swatch = 2 layers.

Color pay off is ok. But the patchiness!! I tried focusing on the patchiness in the 3rd photo of the swatches. Please look closely. T_T So disappointed. I already put on lip balm before I glide the lipstick on. And it was so super patchy and drying. :( This lipstick is a no no for me.

And if you'd like to know, yes the lipstick did stain my hand a bit after I washed it off with makeup remover and body wash even though the swatch was only there for a max 5 minutes while I took these photos. :|

The stain is very slight, but still a stain nonetheless.

Sigh. I guess the RM10 taught me a lesson: think twice before spending money on unknown cheap makeups. T_T I just thought it'd be okay cos it's not face/eye product maaaa. Sigh. I don't simply buy face/eye makeups if they're not properly established/known. I really thought lip products would be okay. :(((

So please be careful ladies out there!

Some people might find this lipstick ok I think? But I just don't find it good to use la since it emphasized the dry patches on my lips even after I put on lip balm before gliding this lipstick on.

If you think it's ok and wanna get it, you can find it in any of the Kioda shops though at only RM10!

In the span of one month...

Many things happened.

1. Por Por's passing.

I was in KL when mummy brought Por Por to the hospital cos she was having trouble breathing. Called mummy and double confirmed with bro that she was fine, that I could visit her when I'm back 2 days later. She didn't wait for me. I didn't get to see her for the last time. I miss you Por Por even though I was always frustrated with you in the past 2 years. You'll always occupy a special place in my heart.

2. Release of CLP results.

I actually managed to get a conditional pass. (????!!)

I'm happy I don't have to retake the whole exam all over again but I'm quite sad I failed 1 paper. (Failing = $$$)

Actually all I felt was how is it possible that I made it??????? It's like a miracle. It's not that I'm not feeling thankful for God's blessings and mummy's prayer but I really do believe I did quite badly in the exam in August. :( nevertheless I made it and only had to sit for another resit exam to secure my professional cert.

Thank you, God. Thank you, mummy. Thank you, Fei, Wen, & Ivy for always being there.

3. Driving on the highway.

I drove on the highway to Ipoh for the first time!! Short 1-day trip to Ipoh with mummy, bro and yeema! We had our lunch at Onn Kee; had Funny Mountain taufufah; visited Kek Lok Tong; bought biscuits from Seng Kee; visited Concubine & Market Lane; & also went to Aeon Klebang to wind down a bit before finally leaving!

4. Solo traveling.

Because I failed 1 paper I had to register for the re-sit exam ASAP. The exam was gon be held on the 7th of November in UM so I had to head down to KL again.

This time I was going to stay in the hotel alone! New experience! Haha I survived. :D checked out after the exam and hopped on the hotel's free shuttle to Mid Valley Mall! Window shopped around alone and then headed to the airport super early. And sat in McDonald's with my hot milo waiting for the time to pass.

For now, I only hope I'll be able to pass this resit paper because it's so much worse than the main paper. Please.

BKK trip photolog!

I'm back I'm back!! Back here to update me blog and back from BKK!

We reached PG on Monday midnight ie Tuesday morning lolol. Air traffic was heavy on Sunday night at our scheduled take-off time so our flight from BKK-KL was delayed for around 30 minutes wtf. We were supposed to reach KL at 10.50pm with an hour away from our KL-PG flight but we reached at 11.30pm which was already 20 minutes before our boarding time!! T_____T Heart attack I tell you!! Ran all the way to our gate and saw everyone was getting ready to board the flight. Then the whole KL-PG flight I was worried our luggage wouldn't be able to make it to the plane. Phobia, cos it happened to us when we arrived in BKK. ._.

So here's the story of my luggage transit from PG-KL-BKK.

On Thursday 22/9 we dropped our luggage early and went into the hall to wait for our flight. Half way waiting I got a SMS from MAS saying our flight from KL-BKK was changed. I went to ask the officers and they gave me new boarding passes and promised me our luggage will be there when we reached BKK. Ok.

When we reached KL, I went to the MAS counter again to confirm our baggage transfer and the lady confirmed that they're already transferring our luggage to the BKK flight plane. Ok.

When we reached BKK we were all happy and excited la and walked to the baggage reclaim carousel BUT WE DIDN'T GET OUR BAGGAGE??? And the lady on duty told us there were no more luggage from our flight?!?!?!

Went to the office (thank god they were able to speak English or else chicken duck conversation sure die) and we were told our baggage couldn't be transferred to our plane "due to weather circumstances" what fucking reason is that?!?!?????? o0o Straightaway ruined my mood for the whole night la ok. And the lady told us our luggage will reach at around midnight and they will send it to our hotel for us. And she said it might be 3 or 4am by the time our luggage were sent to us wtf. SO LATE HOW TO SHOWER HOW TO SLEEP?!?!?!?!

But thanks to Thai's airline and staffs we got our luggage at 2am BKK time la. I'm thankful I didn't have to wait till 4am or 5am. T_T

So fuck you MAS where's your system?

Ok end of ranting photolog starts now lol.

Day 1
Asiatique

We headed to our hotel to check-in after giving the airport staff our hotel address and then we headed to Asiatique as planned. Had our dinner at Checkmate. Food was not bad but I didn't like the damn leaves in my spaghetti. So disgusting the smell. Yuck.

We walked around after our dinner window shopping lol. Also saw BKK Original but the bags didn't seem that appealing anymore? Maybe cos they're not cheap hahaha. Also went into Naraya and aunties were going crazy inside wtf. Nothing caught our eye so we just continued window shopping around and went back to our hotel after that.

Day 2
Eve and Boy, Siam Paragon, Siam Centre, Siam Discovery and Chocolate Ville

After getting our lugagge and I got to wash my face and shower clean obviously I was a happy girl again lol. Also went to the places we planned accordingly!

But first, 7-11 sandwich for breakfast!

Eve and Boy got me excited but when I reached all excitement were gone I dunno why. Lolol. But I still managed to spend RM100+ there la lolol.

Then we headed to Siam Paragon for our Sansab lunch! SIAM PARAGON IS SO PRETTY.

Our lunch! :D

After our lunch we went window shopping again hahaha. And magically stumbled upon Kinokuniya! Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was displayed at the entrance of the store so I had to go check it out la right. Flipped the book over and saw it's only 799 baht?!?!?! WHY BOOKS IN THAILAND SO CHEAP????????? I HAD TO GET IT RIGHT?! It's selling for RM115 in Malaysia leh!!! Then I saw a sticker beside the price tag saying it's on 20% discount wtf? Checked with the staff and he said the discount is for EVERYONE. HOW CAN I NOT GET IT???? Walked around the store hugging my new precious and saw Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them at only 249 baht wtf WHY SO CHEAP??! I wanted to get it initially but decided not to cos it didn't seem very interesting when I flip the insides lol.

Then we went to the cashier and while I was making my payment the staff tore the plastic wrapping my book??? :(((( Then she asked me, "cover?" wtf in my heart I was like what cover? Another plastic bag? So I said no, but Fei said maybe they'll provide my book a cover. =_____= So I asked, "cover?" LOL and she just nodded and went off with my book to WRAP IT ON THE SPOT. LOL. First class book store service please.

Continued with our window shopping after that and tried Grabbing taxi to Choco Ville but failed. =_____= In the end we Uber-ed and was successful! Jam was horrible even at 4pm wtf why BKK why?

We only spent around 2+ hours in Choco Ville and headed back to Siam! Since we had time we went to visit Siam Discovery and Siam Centre lolol.

Aiyo the places all damn chio with lights everywhere! So pretty!! I wanna have lights everywhere in my future house also!!

And my damage of the day, lol.

I only bought 4 makeup items from Eve and Boy!! :O

And I just had to get this. GUDETAMA BOTTLE!! I bought the yellow one before we left for Asiatique on our first night hahahaha.

My comb broke in my luggage wtf I dunno how they throw my luggage and I don't wanna know. Forgot to hunt for a new comb so I had to search for one in our hotel's 7-11 and found this Rilakkuma one!! 12 baht only!!

And my happiest buy of the day hahahaha.

Day 3
Chatuchak Weekend Market, Terminal 21, JJ Green Night Market

Naturally I was happy to visit Chatuchak cos I thought I could finally shop for nice clothes at cheap price lolol. I was wrong. =_____=

First thing first, coconut ice cream! Bought it from the wrong stall though. :( But nevermind la, quite nice also.

Had our lunch in a hidden shop.

Quite expensive leh the stuffs all! Mostly 250 baht and up! 100 baht got also la but I didn't really like them. Mostly are priced 200 baht and above. I actually found a pair of sandals that I really love but no size!!! T_____T Why can't they cater for size 41/42? WHAT'S WRONG WITH US BIG FEET LADIES?????

So we left after 3 hours plus lol and headed to T21. Stumbled upon After You and Fei said let's just go in since we're here already lol.

Shibuya Honey Toast!

Then we went to walk around, exploring the mall.

Interesting cushions, no? Hahahaha.

Headed back to JJ Green in the evening!

LOOK AT THE WEATHER.

I was happy when we reached the night market cos I saw things sold there are so much more cheaper than Chatuchak! But first, dinner first! Or else where to find energy to walk?

I WAS WRONG.

While I was waiting for Fei to be back with his dinner IT SUDDENLY RAINED.

NOT THE NORMAL RAIN.

THE STORM TYPE OF RAIN.

T___________T

AND IT WOULDN'T STOP.

By the time it got smaller it was 9pm. Fei said we should try to make a run but my camera was hanging on my shoulder exposed to the rain!! T_T I went to a Thai tea stall and asked if the lady could give me a plastic bag she so kindly gave me one!!! T_T THANK YOU.

Wrapped my camera up and dashed out with Fei IN OUR BIRKYS but everywhere was starting to flood omg I felt so hopeless. Then I told Fei we need to find stalls selling slippers, we can't wet our Birkys like that ok. T______T And thank goodness we found one and bought 2 pairs of slippers immediately!! Changed our shoes and WE HAD TO WADE THROUGH THE DIRTY FLOOD WATER. T______________T It was super duper disgusting ok!!! I felt like dying please. It went up nearly to my knee. T_____T

SEE SEE SEE. T_____T

But this incident restored my faith in humanity! This Fei dunno why kept having his slippers floating away, and another girl who was escaping with her boyfriend helped Fei to pick up his slippers that was floating away even though she was struggling herself. :( Thank you ah.

And it was also my first time witnessing a boy piggybacking his girlfriend in the flood water!! Aiyo we were all so drenched but watching that couple made me so happy hahahaha.

Of course my boyfriend was holding onto me super tightly like I'm his lifeline cos he couldn't balance himself in the water. =_____=...

But we made it to the station la and everyone else was also wet and drenched. Those wearing Yeezy/Nike took their shoes and socks off and walked bare footed! I suggested to Fei we should do that before we escaped and he was staring at me with disbelief. =_____= It's a survival mechanism ok. =_____=

Damage of the day:

Little souvenirs, lemongrass for mummy, a tee for bro and buy 1 free 1 stuffs from Boots!!!

The conditioner from Boots was only 100 baht each and they were on buy 1 free 1 HOW TO NOT BUY BACK FOR MUMMY??? I sincerely wish that Boots will come to PG please hahaha.

Day 4
Pratunam Market, Platinum Mall, Central World, Big C Supercentre

Morning 7-11 breakfast again hehehe.

Our view of Erawan Shrine when we were on the bridge connecting to Pratunam!

Pratunam Market was super crowded la omg and I lost my camera lens cap there! :( :( :( :( :( :(((((((

We didn't finish walking and decided to escape there and headed to Platinum Mall for the aircond. Hahahaha. I only managed to get a top there and Fei didn't get anything at all from day 1 to day 4. =______= BKK stuffs really not cheap! Or maybe we're the weird ones lol. We saw many people lugging around big bags but we were just holding a few small bags wtf.

Left Platinum at 4+ and headed over to Central World. SO BIG HOW TO WALK? So obviously we didn't finish walking hahaha. Also magically stumbled upon Mr Jones' and Fei said the same thing again, since we're here already might as well go try. =_____= #lifeofafatty

The place damn hot la please!! If you wanna have so many spotlights please make sure your aircond is blasting on max power la omg. And the cake was just so-so la didn't really like it.

Headed outside in the evening and there was this whole stretch of street market and I bought a set of dress hahaha. Another happy buy!

The famous BKK jam lolol.

Then we went to Big C and started shopping for snacks. So damn many people ah there. Everyone was sapu-ing everything crazily. Fei and I stood there for a long time debating and thinking what to buy, how many to buy lololol. Headed back to the hotel after that.

We actually planned to visit a sky bar but in the end I was too lazy after we're back in our room and Fei was tired. So cancelled lor. Next time la lol.

Here's my damage!

A pair of pants and tee for bro, pajamas for mummy, a top and a set of dress for myself, and other miscellaneous stuffs lol.

Went down to our hotel's 7-11 to get our dinner hahaha. Fei's dream of having 7-11 for dinner came true wtf.

Here's my rice.

And my mushroom and cheese danish.  IT WAS SO GOOD.

SO CHEESY!!

And snacks damage lol. And yes I bought tissue from BKK back home. Lolol.

Day 5
HOME BOUND!

Still had time in the morning so we went to Siam Paragon again hahaha.

Bought this kuih from their bazaar in the basement!

And bought these snacks! Buy 1 free 1 promotion also wor!!!

The cylinder-shaped thingy was 28 baht each and on B1F1. It's a gummy bear candy so I asked Fei to buy la since he loves gummy candies. =_____= He refused wor. But when he saw me getting them he asked me to give him one since I have 2. =_____= Ya that's my boyfriend. Woohoo.

And then our short 5d4n trip was over in just a blink of an eye! :O
