Origins Make A Difference Plus+ Review!

First review in this blog ever in my 6 and a half years blogging life! Lololol.

Disclaimer: I'm not a pro, just giving opinions based on my own skin condition and usage of the products. I will not be held responsible if you choose to completely rely on my opinions (if ever someone). I merely want to help people who are feeling helpless/restless/indecisive/doubtful about something that they are in dilemma whether to get it and splat on their face or not cos I always face that problem. =,= So now I'm gon be the superhero and help people and be people's life saviour! *jeng jeng jeng* *crickets* OKAY I'M JUST SELF OBSESSED OKAY. =_____=

Okay I shall get started. But starting with the history of my skin condition is INEVITABLE so bear with it or just leave lol OR scroll down to the pictures part and see for yourself.

[SIDETRACKED] So I used to have very good skin. Baby skin. But that was until when I was 13 lol.

When I stepped into the 14th year of my life, hell broke loose, fucking puberty took control of my body and my face is just ... /_______\ I don't even know how to describe it. So I was ALWAYS very conscious about my face, my skin condition... And also in the same year, I had rashes all over my body and arms and legs and they're just so ugly and disgusting and made me feel so pathetic and self-abased and they're freaking itchy. T_T

So mum brought me to Lim Huat Bee Skin Specialist (she used to go to LHB too when she was young, so she knows him and he her). But that trip was just to treat the rashes, my face was still considered O K...

Until when I was around 16, fml my face was just embarrassing. /_____\ Getting more and more serious, until 17, 18, 19...

Finally in 2011 when I was 19 that year, mum decided to bring me to the Tropica Skin Specialist at Burmah Road instead of LHB. Fml I will NEVER go back to TSS. The doctor didn't even look at me properly, but just simply glanced and gave me face cream and body shower gel, and his instructions were "DON'T put a lot of the face cream, if your face becomes 'chao huey ta' (scorched) I don't know." WHAT THE FUCK ON EARTH? Does a doctor talk to his patient like that? I was already very pissed by then. AND the next day when I washed my face I found out that my face was in an even worse condition with rashes popping up on my cheeks WTF I was panicking and freaking out because without these new rashes my face condition was already bad enough!! Mum called up the clinic and made an appointment again that day, and when we went back to that doctor, he was in his usual lazy sitting posture and again didn't look at us properly and said "AIYA, that one is the effect of the medicine, my medicine all will go into your skin and push out all the dirty things and then after they heal you'll have clean skin already one la, dunno why you all always get panic and freak out." FUCKING HELL, does a doctor talk like that? How the fuck was I supposed to know your medicine work that way? You didn't even explain and didn't even look at me properly! So I was fucking pissed with that clinic and mum was too, and I told mum I'll NEVER go back to that clinic.

So we went back to LHB after that, and slowly, after applying his medicine my face got better. But the consultation fees was very expensive so I couldn't afford going back every month for appointment, but only get the face creams when I finished them. He also gave me an oil-free moisturizer and told me I need oil-free moisturizer and can only use oil-free moisturizer. T_T

So after finishing his moisturizer, I used quite a few different brands of moisturizers:
Thursday Plantation's Tea Tree Body Lotion (yes I used it as a moisturizer on the face after searching for reviews and made researched hours on the net),
Body Shop's Seaweed Moisturizer (both day and night),
Body Shop's Tea Tree Moisturizer (both day and night),
Johnson Baby's Lotion Aloe Vera and Vitamin E (yah I actually used this for my face too lol cos I used to use the pink bottle one on my face when I was young so I thought no harm using it now too and I might even get back baby face LOL).

Until the last April, I was still using LHB's toner and morning cream. I told mum I want to stop using his medicine because I don't want to rely on his medicine my whole life. T_T So I started my research on other brands of moisturizer (the most important thing ugh). I had a few in mind that time: Yves Rocher, Clinique Moisture Surge, Origins GinZing, H2O+. In the end I went to H2O+ to ask about their products and Parkson to ask about Origins GinZing and found out that it's gel-cream, and the lady suggested to me this Make A Difference Plus that's oil-free. The price also very nice when she told me. T_T So I said thank you and went home with mum, and I was having my stupid dilemma again. Went to search for reviews like mad.

Then I stumbled upon so many conflicting reviews for both H2O+ and Origins. And then I saw someone writing that they contain silicone that causes breakout WTF I straightaway went into a fit and googled 'silicone' and found out it's actually present in most of the things we use nowadays, eg moisturizers, primers, foundations etc and its function is to seal moisture in our face. Then only I relaxed a bit cos I went to look for my Benefit Porefessional and read through the ingredients and found 'silicone', and thought that since it didn't cause me any problem when I used it *TOUCH WOOD* it should be alright if silicone's present in moisturizers. I also went to consult a friend who's using Origins hehehe. I'm such a genius! By then I was already slanting towards getting Origins cos I wanted to get it on Bonuslink's members day in Parkson so that I can get a better bargain (vouchers) HAHAHA.

So I went to get it! And I actually bought a set as the moisturizer was on promotion.

These 3 came in a bundle with the moisturizer and I just had to pay an extra RM25 for these 3 lol. Super worth it okay.
Rejuvenating Cleansing Milk - I actually haven't even tried using it at all lol.
Rejuvenating Treatment Lotion - this toner's good!
Rejuvenating Serum - yes, rejuvenating.

And this is the moisturizer - Rejuvenating Treatment!

Rejuvenating Treatment Lotion
This is the toner. I like using this in the night. I usually wet my cotton pad with it and then start swabbing it on my face. Some kind of exfoliation, I heard, when you use cotton pad for toner, lol. Sorta give you the cooling sensation, and it's very comfortable, especially after a hectic and tiresome day! So thumbs up! I think after applying it my face looks brighter too. Lol. =,= Maybe it's just me. Hallucinating.

Rejuvenating Serum
To apply this after toner, or before moisturizer.

I think this helped my skin a lot. Like, a lot. Seriously. It's also very lightweight, and also gives you this cooling sensation like the toner. Thumbs up again! My skin always feel fresher after applying this and the toner so I always feel happy while applying them on my skin hahahaha.

Rejuvenating Treatment
Moisturizer. The one I looked for thousands of reviews (okay I exaggerated but you get the idea) to clear my doubts off it.

It has this plastic cover after you open the cover. I still keep this plastic thing. :)

The GEL.

It's not watery, kinda firm actually, the texture, compared to the Bio-Essence I bought earlier. But no worries, it's not heavy on our skin. But compared with the Bio-Essence moisturizer, this is not as lightweight as that is. BUT, this has its own function, and it performs well and gives me smooth and rejuvenated skin really!!! So hey I have no complaints! That's why I prefer to use this for night use. :3 Night time is the time when our skin rejuvenates itself yes? I think this moisturizer is supposed to act like a booster to the rejuvenation or something like that, cos the next day I wake up after applying this, my skin reallyyyy feels better! :D

This is usable for both AM and PM, unlike some other moisturizers which are designed specifically for AM and PM (eg those Body Shop moisturizers that I used before). :( Those would cost more if I get both AM and PM no? So this Origins is actually good for me! :) But actually there's another tub that's in a darker green colour, and that's more for night time use, maybe I shall try that next for night use when this is finished. :) (UGH just found out it's gel-cream for the night one! So I'm already half throwing it in the abandoned list already ugh.)

By the way I like the appearance of the packaging, they look so tidy and sleek! So going to keep them after finishing them hehehehe.

Using all three of them together
All used together, they're very good and effective. I was in doubt when I bought it, but after using them altogether, now my skin is better than before. AND WITHOUT relying on LHB's medicine!!! :D So I guess I'm one happy girl!

AND they all smell pleasant. Okay maybe it's just me that like this type of smell. They actually smell like citrus. Since I like this type of scent, I find them refreshing when I apply them on my face. So if you're not sure if you like the smell/scent, better go and do some survey and find out how it smells first okay, after all you're gon be stuck with it for months after getting it. Some people find that it's a strong smell, but I personally think it's a very refreshing scent and it doesn't bother me hehehe.

Anyway, before I forget: the moisturizer is priced at RM190 individually. Together with the promotion that I bought, it's RM215 instead. So better to grab them when they have promotion sets right?! BARGAINS, people, bargains... Origins can be found in Parkson Gurney Plaza and as an individual shop lot in Queensbay Mall next to Dome. If I were you, I'd rather get it in Parkson on Bonuslink's members day to get vouchers! This is not cheapskate, mind you, this is GOOD BARGAIN, and fully utilizing the benefits that you have access to! :)

So happy shopping and happy splurging!!

OMG I'm actually doing free review for them fml! But... haiz, so long as people will have their doubts/insecurity cleared after reading this... (if ever anyone stumbles upon this post).

Toodles! SLEEP TIME. zzz
